Born in Faro, a city in Portugal South, young Diogo started by doing the obvious: Show all his talent to those around him, friends and family. Guitar lessons were precious and everyone was enjoying. Like many examples before him, Diogo’s youth band “Fora da Boia” had a big role on his path, giving him the road experience.
After a while in Czech Republic, the moment had come to embrace the dream and risk a solo career. As a true millennial, internet was Piçarra’s success platform, but in his case, the mainstream would follow soon. In 2012 he won the talent show “Ídolos”, having the chance to study music in London and being signed to Universal. Since then, he never stoped.
His first record, “Espelho”, produced by Fred Ferreira, is one of the biggest successes in Portuguese music from the last 10 years, with songs like “Meu e Teu” marking a generation, with millions of views in Youtube.
And his second album “do=s”, follows the same path… how to resist a song like “História”? Impossible.
