Known for being one of the founders of the Future House movement, Don Pepijn Schipper – Don Diablo, for the music world – is one of the pioneers of dance music in the world. Hits like “On My Mind”, “Universe”, “Anytime” or “Cutting Shapes” make him one of the most requested DJs on the planet. The Dutch DJ began signing contracts early in his life, at the age of 15, and hasn’t stopped since. Playing in the biggest festivals in the world, his annual schedule features hundreds of concerts everywhere. His remixing art has done magic with the work of Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Madonna, Coldplay, DJ Snake, Justin Bieber, among others and he has collaborated with artists like Kelis, Alex Clare, Dragonette, Diplo and Tiësto.
Music is at the heart of Don Diablo’s work but his artistic dimension goes far beyond that. He’s also created “HEXAGON”, his own brand whose tentacles extend through a label, a radio show (on the iTunes top) and even a clothing line. This care for the image also reveals a cinematographic passion, leading him to assume the direction and production of his own music videos, as well as creating original soundtracks for some cinema hits (Kill Switch, for example).
Don Diablo’s success has been increasing and 2018 only comes as a confirmation. With the release of “Future”, his new album that promises to set the dance floors on fire, everyone is talking about him for the best reasons. And those reasons also go through Portugal, on August 8, at the MEO Stage of MEO Sudoeste.
