The partnership between Sam The Kid and Mundo Segundo began on stage. One comes from Gaia, Oporto district, and the other from Chelas, Lisbon. In the middle of the two there is a long history of dedication to the cause of rhymes and beats. Secretly, they have developed an album made with two voices and four hands, which promises to make history in the Portuguese hip-hop scene.
Mundo Segundo is the leader of the Dealema group, responsible for some of the best moments of national hip-hop, including the much acclaimed “Alvorada da Alma”. Sam The Kid is already a synonym to Portuguese hip-hop and one of the strongest symbols that this culture has generated among us. Albums like “Sobretudo”, “Beats Vol. 1: Amor” or “Praticamente” are already classics of Portuguese music. “Brasa” was the last single to be unveiled by the duo. With Zacky Man’s voice from the Supa Squadand and the legendary American producer Marco Polo (who collects collaborations with names of the American cream such as Talib Kweli, Masta Ace and DJ Premier), “Brasa” promises to set fire to YouTube, thus joining themes like “You Do not Know” or “Too Much Part” (collectively, more than 8 million views). A tune-up audience is expected in the next edition of MEO Sudoeste, on August 10th, at the MEO Stage.
